Description
I don't know anyone named "Carolette" - just thought it was a cool name. But this tune is a little inspired by my sister, by a couple of friends, all trying to move on after bad/sad relationships. "A brother tries." (Rock ballad? I'm not very good at categorizing my stuff, I'm afraid.)

Lyrics
David McCord Carolette
I walked across the room to say hello
It seemed to me that you were feeling low
And what could get you down I didn’t know
I guess I’m slow… I didn’t know.
But you looked up at me and I saw tears
It’s the first time I’ve seen that in many years
I got down on my knee and took your hand
Your trembling hand… I understand.
But nothing could prepare me for the sadness in your eyes
A brother tries. A brother tries.
CHORUS:
Carolette, it’s time to forget
Set your sights upon the coming day
Carolette, there’s nothing to regret
It’s over now, just put the past away
You need to make the best of what you get,
Carolette
You’ve got a broken heart, and broken dreams
The future’s suddenly not what it seems
But, Carolette, I’m here to help you through
I’m here for you What can I do?
Whatever I can do to help you leave this all behind…
What’s on your mind? I think it’s time.
(Repeat Chorus.)
