Description
This is a track from my new album. Prophetic Guesses. All the tracks for this album were written and recorded in the early to mid 90s under the moniker, Luna Sea. I remade them them for this album and this particular track recently figured on Eppy's ARFM radio show and other stations in the US and UK. Let me know what you think - the album will be up on CDBaby in a day or so, followed by Rebsie's new album and our joint-project.

Lyrics
On the Plea Shore (by Daniel Staniforth/ Luna Trick)

He finds it positively enchanting
As he stands above the sea shore
And his shadow now is roving
From the edges of the sea
And he thinks the spell is broken
And his misery is over
And the dragon now has spoken
From the edges of the sea

Giving due eternity
He looks into the waves
And he thinks that Jesus saves
By whatever is the plea
And he looks into the good book
And he finds himself a saviour
That will do any favour
Whatever is the plea
From the edges of the sea
No matter what the plea
From the edges of the sea

Standing on the Plea Shore
Standing on the Plea Shore
Standing on the Plea Shore
Standing on the Plea Shore

I like it
But a pick nit is the voice that I had little hard to hear, so with out the lyrics I could not fix it, and also I'm not so much in to have the voice at the right side, but that is me, but otherwise very nice production.

Fair enough
Vocal stylistics are subjective.

Fantastic
sounds, with great depth.... love the simplicity of the guitar alongside the terrific rhythm and percussion sounds (which for me really make this). Interesting lyrics and the way you sing them in that sort of monotone really adds to the feeling of mystery in the song, Great stuff as always

Dare I say...
.... a mature bowie sound. i like how many of the parts do there own thing but locks together to create a uniformed sound. especially the guitars on each side. the mix is nice and crisp.

Very unusual
and amazingly creative song. I agree about the mature Bowie comparison above.
The choice of instrumentation and mix/mastering is sublime (I would definitely be convinced that it was professional), and although I understand what Feter is saying about the clarity of the lyric, I think that the unusual and compelling effects on the voice are worth that sacrifice.
You impress me enormously. Good luck with the album.
Downloaded. Thanks.
Cheers
Len

on the album release. this is funky good sweetness. my only nit is the mix seemed a little unbalanced to me, but it's a really cool song and very well performed in all aspects. nice!

A Luna TRICK!!!
I really dislike comparisons because I usually don't follow them or the allusions. (I'm too much of an outsider.) What you DO have here is a beautiful-sounding mix of rhythmic elements this is fun to listen to and that I find uniquely yours. But my nit is with the vocal: without the text to read, I wouldn't understand the song...Perhaps backing off of the instrumental a bit would bring the vocal into more clarity. (Or maybe I am just getting deaf...or so I have been told.) Um, why did it just cut off? (Maybe I hit something by mistake. Uh, nope. I listened again.)...

I just went with a vocal stylistic that is a little recessed... aesthetic choice... trying to work on subtle levels... Thanks for sticking with me...

Wow
I heard this on the radio too - probably listening to the same show as Particledots. And ohhhh, you have such a wonderful voice. I really think your music is destined for higher things. You have such a lot going for you.

Best of luck with the album.

Hey Daniel
Glad for you to hear of an upcoming CD - must be out by now. Cool song, creative instrumentation, and then your unique vocals - talking of which, I have to go along with others about the lyrics being barely understandable, which is somewhat a pity as they are quite wonderful. On the other hand, the vocals seen or heard as an instrument of its own. . .

Well done, Daniel - thanks for sharing !

Hauntingly cool. I agree with all of your production choices on this one. Some people just aren't fans of hard panning, but when it's done right it can really bring a lot to a song, such as in this case. Love that guitar in my right speaker. Great song, Daniel.

echo on the shore
it is echoes of music. words and prayers are inconsequential. they are written in the sand. the chords come and wash them away. it is music of infinity. thank you for an echo of the universe. 0x0

Music is really artistic and cool. I like your vocals, though they are effected to the point that I can't make out some of the lyrics. Great tune.
