What a difference help from a friend can make! I sent the first version of this song to my friend Jason asking if he'd be interested in laying down a little solo for me. What I got back just blew me away. Not only did he send me a great solo, he also added just the right feeling with a couple of rhythm tracks towards the end of the song that.......um....."brought the whole thing home" for me. Thanks from the bottom of my heart Jason!!
I've added some stuff here, and taken some stuff out there, and started to learn how to use some of the fine tuning STUFF that GB has to offer. Hope you like it.

Here's the story behind this tune if you care to know:
I named it Going Back Home because it reminded me of the trip I just took up to Whitefish Point, Michigan with my brother. After we had a little breakfast we drove to the light house which is literally at the END of the road on the very tip of Whitefish Point to snap a few pictures. When we were done with that, we got back in the car for the journey back home and I was stuck with the thought that I always have when I travel. There always has to be that very first inch (or centimeter) traveled to get things moving. When you start moving, you set the timing for everything that will happen to you along the way. Things like who you will pass on the highway, if you'll miss or hit that deer running out in front of your car, or some other crazy event you may miss if you started moving soon or later. This is just the stupid stuff I think about. Anyway, the song feels like I do when I start heading back home.

Jason does the talking with his guitar.

That guitar sound turned it into a real rocker. Great playing by Jason. It really came together. You almost have two completely different songs now, and they're both good. Well done. And remember, watch out for deer, use your turn indicators, and don't tailgate.
