Description
Well.... here is yet another version of this song. IF I were able to put this band together I would be honored to play with the following:
Neil Porter (Jiguma) on bass http://www.macjams.com/artist/jiguma
John Kaplan (Kappy) on banjo http://www.macjams.com/artist/kappy
Vern Sinclair (first recording ever) on acoustic guitar (Vern_S) http://www.macjams.com/artist/Vern_S
Michael House (mvh9591) on synth and keys http://www.macjams.com/artist/mvh9591
Chris Cihon on lead guitar (PickQuickRecords) http://www.macjams.com/artist/PickQuickRecords
A special shout out to Brian aka Elevator_Funk http://www.macjams.com/artist/Elevator_Funk for getting me to consider trying a collaboration. The version he and Henri Rogers and I did can be found here http://www.macjams.com/song/47050
I have been sitting on this for quite some time. Neil agreed to help me out shortly after the last version was uploaded, and with a proper bass line this song is much more professional sounding. I also redid the drums with Addictive drums (with some direction from Neil) and modified the arrangement. I have all the instrument recordings that were sent to me for a total of 8 separate instruments not including the vocals. It is the biggest file I have produced to date. I know it seems somewhat obsessive to have this many versions of the song lol, so I'll tell you what this song means to me. It represents the time I decided I was a songwriter 20 years ago I was told by a very successful country artist who is now quite famous, that it was "a very strong song" she wasn't yanking my chain either, I had played a couple more for her and she didn't like them at all and told me why she didn't like them. This version represents everything I have learned here from all you great people who had the courage to tell me what you think, good bad or indifferent. The direction and advice I have been given here amounts to a complete education in recording music. I thank you all.
Peace
Guy
PS there is one more version coming and before the groaning and eye rolling starts it's an unplugged version with a very special guest whom we all miss very much around here.

has always been a great tune. Now it has gone through many incredible changes and it has been cool to hear them all. This is by far the best. Never stop doing what you do ok???
