Description
I was listening to a few loops and found a couple that I could fiddle with and use the pencil tool, which I did and a steady drum beat to keep us rolling along, then the synth. I was stuck for lyrics for a while as I tried to think what the music reminded me of. First one for ages that I didn't get the tune from playing the guitar first. Hope you like the fresh air , summery feel to this, M

Lyrics
Home Today
1. My minds filled up with things I wanna’ say,
‘Cause it’s been a long time since I went away,
Now I’m comin’ back home, on this summer’s day, this summer day,
The road’s so long and the field’s so green,
Prettiest sight I’ve ever seen,
It’s true what they say, “No place like home”.
Chorus
Lovely, lovely summer day and I’m coming, I’m comin’ home today.
2 Summer blue skies make a lovely scene
With butterflies flittin’ over meadows green,
Cotton wool clouds sailin’ way up high,
Over on the hill see the Kites all fly.
Colours of the rainbow dancin’ in the sky,
Like the birds, flyin’ way up high.
Chorus.
3. There in the park there’s a carousel,
Thrilling all the kids you can hear ‘em yell,
Whirling around, waving to Mom as they go.
Down by the shore people swim and play,
It’s warm enough for them to stay all day
Layin’ on the sand and soakin’ up the sun.
4. Maybe I’ll ride to the riverbank, see
If my friends are still there to welcome me,
Have a drink or two, maybe have an Ice-cream, yeah, that would be nice),
I look in the distance at the mountains blue
Smilin’ to myself at the wonderful view,
Feelin’ good, the summer’s here again.
5.The early mornin’ sun is bright and warm,
Birds have been singin’ since early dawn,
Summertime, and it’s nice to be home again.
I’m still lookin’ to the distance at the mountains blue.
Smilin’ to myself at the wonderful view
And feeling good, ‘cause the summers here again.
Yes the summer’s here..Mmmm lovely summer days with the blue blue skies… so glad, I’m home to stay.
(Spoken.)
6. It’s been a while since I’ve seen all these things I’ve just talked about,
But they never were very far from my mind.
Now I’m home, where the fields just stretch forever,
Well… at least to where the mountains reach the sky.
Someone told me that, once…they really do… reach the sky.

As you do!
This is a beautiful song. I really like the insistence of the rhythm and the orchestration - lovely ethereal synth sounds give this a terrific atmosphere.
It will be just perfect for an iPod walk along the sea-front here at home.
Great song for the Summer. [Ha! in the UK at the moment.]
