Great tune Allen I dig this a lot. It really flows along. Superbly written and performed. My ears would like to hear a bit more low end in both the drums and bass. thank you for your critique. the bass was ok in my first mix, but i tried to get a little bit more of the high end to differentiate the slides and riffs better, and i agree, it made the bass sound thin. as far as the ending goes, i really did not know how to end it, so i went with a bit of a generic ending. if i come up with one, i will certainly rework it. minor complications major props! this is so good, man. the bass is really well played and cuts through everything nicely. when those drums kick in everything goes up a few notches. great job. One thing I think would be nice is at some point have some soloing that wasn't reversed. Maybe you were going for that dreamy kind of vibe, but I think a little bit of normal soloing would bring more focus to everything. Just a suggestion though. I do like it exactly as is too. you know.... before i posted, i was planning on playing a solo section through the larger portion of the song. i did not have one scripted, but planned on writing something that went along with the theme, but had its own ferocity as well. i stopped short of recording after hearing a preliminary mix, cause the thing was sounding so darn good. but thank you for taking a chance on a bum like me, and giving my tinny, little works a listen. i truly appreciate it. Complication Variation That point at 1:32 is very tasteful, a great build, maybe it starts a little too full? Just some of that guitar whining at the start to lead in, so expressive, like an invitation, on the end maybe a tag with "goodbye" licks in the same manner. Your playing is very vocal.
