Noir
Listened three times to this. I heard it as
a life in three parts: the first interlude with lounge piano & efx, a life lived; then a journey into memory and loss; and at the end, nothing left but wires and tubes. Enigmatic and undefineable. Enjoyed this noir sequence.

Tree Falls on Listeners, what do they hear?
I will leave this lay here, this tree falls on a lot of people. I am trying to be helpful.
The useless/necessary feeling ebbs, reason takes over and we look up.

Very interesting
and surreal combination of sounds, but I would think that's how life seems with cancer (surreal).... the world goes on and you've been hit with this 'pile driver'.... or 'tree'... then life still goes on but differently, regards M

Nice Jazz
I love the stand up bass in this. I wish I could record something like this. Awesome.

Yes it does
while this doesn't. Good equilibrium.

As inventive as always, Daug.
After Chagall, Daugall

Fine work.
Thanks !

This is absolutely beautiful. I love the distant feel to the music. The sound effects are out front just right. The range of emotion felt is awesome. It takes the senses for a hell of a ride. Great work.

Yep, Cancer sucks, big time
When you have it, the world says Awe, so sorry, and then moves on. Except you can never move on, you are stuck there wondering about everything.

But you can sitll hear life and friends, and loved ones going about their busy lives, and you wonder, is it just me, or has time stood still.

Been there done that with my wife. But now it is over and, "Life goes on"

Thanks for posting this James, I'd almost forgotten.

Be well and be cool my friend,

Ed

oh yes...
cancer does suck. More precisely, our inability to find a cure (so far) sucks.

Love this amazing composition, thank you!

Yes it does
Loved the piano accompanied by the upright bass. When it turned sad it gave me chills. Cancer sucks alright. Thanks for the reality check.

OK There's a story here
This piece is the wonderful weaving of a story. I am not sure what the story is exactly, but it seems a life interrupted. Very deep.
Thanks for sharing from your heart,
Stephen

Dog barking
I could have this in every one of my recordings (and do on the cutting room floor, blasst those dogs). I was thinking.... aha, finally a conventional jazz tune. Well, not exactly. From jazz to an ensemble piece and back to a electronic jazz ending. Wild
Daugrin said 77 days ago (September 9th, 2009)
Tell a story of a life
Daug covers the scene. Notice the melody and harmony are empty? Yet the emotional content is still overwhelming...
