take no enemies
awesome song Bob & Des, even the mellower parts have such power and commitment. very self effacing tune in the lyrics and maybe Des's most powerful vocals yet. Bob, you have such a great handle on the guitars and production..... killer track

Thanks Vic
It was just me playing acoustic guitar and Des singing the vocal on this at first, it's the vocals that make it a powerful song.
Thanks for your kind comments Vic, appreciate them.

enemy
good vocals and well accompanied, though i would say that maybe it could be a minute or two shorter. there's good work here but shorter would make it snappy. my opinion of course. liked it though.

a good listen
I enjoyed this, kinda Eagles-ish in the verses.
The vocals are passionate and there are some great melody lines here, particularly the chorus.
A little too much reverb and delay on the lead, it sounded like there was some interesting work in there.

Dynamics
Bob, this is a great song and you are brilliantly doing it justice in your arrangement and superb playing. Love all the changes that keep it flowing and interesting throughout. Great lyrics from Des and I agree with above comments that it is probably his best vocal that we have heard so far from him. Your production is stellar too, as always.
This is where I usually type 'Downloaded. Thanks' but I can't.
Cheers

floyd skynyrd, lynyrd floyd??
what a great, quietly quality tune man. favorite thing about it is the mix of styles - the verse reminds me of dire straits or even pink floyd, but the chorus is straight up lynyrd skynyrd or allman bros. as usual your voice is standout, as is the playing. i'm into a band you might appreciate called "Band of Heathens". if you haven't listened to them check them out...

I always fave your stuff before I've even heard it.
Never been disappointed yet! Nice tuneage bros. Musically this could be a distant cousin to REM's "Drive."

Evocative and powerful.

Be well friends!
