Lyrics
Syko and the Beast

Long week, am sick of workin
Same shite, different day
A bag of cans or whatever’s goin
Right-off the whole weekend
Ya comin out? Yeah
Ya comin up? Yeah
I’d come anywhere,
Well, put on your good shoes
I fuckin hate queue’s
But I’d do anything

Long legs, stiletto high heels
Short skirts and push bras
Mirror mirror on the jacks wall
Who’s the fairest of us all?

Goodbye my love must go
But my heart is grieving so
Will i see you again?
Oh how it pains me I can’t stay
I’ve got another place to be
You’re in my heart and my soul

You comin my way
You’re just the right age
Teach me to play your games
Put on your good shoes
I fucking hate you,
I gave you everything

Goodbye my love, I must go
But my heart is grieving so
Will I see you again
Oh how it pains me I can’t stay
I’ve got another place to be
You’re in my heart and my soul

Ya comin out? Yeah
Ya comin up? Yeah
I’d come anywhere,
Well, put on your good shoes
I fuckin hate queue’s
But I’d do anything

Sounds live
Your recording has a real live sound to it. 3 pack a day grizzled voice works great in this tune. Look forward to you future posts. Interesting mix of bluegrass elements and southern rock. Very interesting. Do you still have the original mix for this? If so, I would do a bit more panning to separate the instruments better. Great tune.

All the attitude of The Men They Couldn't Hang, with Pogue-ish instrumental chops.

New Energy
Effective contrast between the staccato syncopation in the verse against the chorus. The instrumentals nicely punctuate the message in the lyrics.

Welcome to MJ!!

impressive
reminds me a bit of the now defunked Rug Burns. not to say that it doesn't stand on its own- its unique in its choice of voicing and i find it refreshing that it does not sound like every one else on the planet. Great live feel and production- Do you have more?
