Description
This is my second submission. This was the first song I did in my "Father and Son" series. It is based on a poem that my father wrote for my mother as a Valentine's day gift. I wrote this song as a gift to my wife the following year. She loved it and so it hit the mark.

What is so great about Valentine's Day?
Nobody asked me, but if I had my way
I'd take every day of the year to say
I love you more with each passing day
And about flowers and candy and diamond rings
You couldn't be more beautiful if you had those things
So just relax with this comforting thought
Try to forget the things that haven't bought.
To focus my love on a single day
would greatly diminish what I have to say
about loving you the rest of the year
and with that I noticed the start of a tear...
When I saw the moisture in your eyes.
It was then that I came to realize to my surprise
If this works for valentines then who's to tell?
