Description
This was my first (and last incidentally!) attempt at a country song. Not sure what I was expecting it to sound like when it was finished, maybe I should have listened to more...er, country music?
Anyway, I tried at least.
I'm not sure whether or not to strip it back down and make it more simplistic, it just seems a little 'over-produced' to me. Let me know your thoughts.
Cheers,
Jon.

Lyrics
Queen of the Same old Same
Under the cheap lights, yet over the jeer of the bar flie's
singing alone in a world of her own,
shielding her eyes from the spotlight.
Mother's old and Daddy's gone,
she's searching for the words to reach someone.
Playing as sweet as a heart you can count on.
Singing her own sweet memories, no-one ever caught her name,
now she's hitchin' a ride down to Memphis.
She's the Queen of the same old same.
Halfway to Maryland, turns up at the door of an old friend,
she was a singer a long time ago, who stayed where she fell on the South road.
(She said) Loosen up and have some fun, don't you know the road's a long one?
and winners' don't even know it's a game; they just love to run!
See how they run.
Singing her own sweet memories, no-one ever caught her name,
now she's hitchin' a ride down to Memphis.
She's the Queen of the same old same.
Truck-stops and dirty roads
Motels and heart's of gold.
No regrets' is nothing gained,
she'll begin again, she's a non-stop hurricane.

That Shaw style right off the bat. Your vocals are always simply perfect. Radio ready!
Love this like the others Jon!
