THE PROZAC-MACHINE (brave new world part 1)

Get Flash to see this player.

Description
i´m fed up with the smiling faces wanted to sell us their nonsense, too expensive garbage and then telling us we live in a great world full of perfect and progressive things... will our kids survive the next decades?
will the human-race survive the human-race?

Lyrics
(don´t forget to clean your car
don´t forget clean your garden
don´t forget to stay clean all the time
be friendly
be nice
smile...)

there is a very cruel machine here in this world

we got to feed this hungry beast although it hurts

we can´t escape that running system ´though we see
there are a lot of tricky failures make us bleed
and the first one was that creepy human seed...

there was a monkey with a bone in his hands
catched the fire, invent guns and then he ran

to invent a saviour and a mystery higher law
something higher than the guns he had so far
something higher than the guns he had so far
something higher than the guns he had so far...

invent a brave new world for us so we can smile
while entertainment hides environmental dying

invent a food machine that makes our children fat
invent some prozac and tv so we forget

there are dolphins suffocated on the beach
there´s an ice-bear eats the radioactive meat

there´s a monkey in the jungle raise a tear
while some humans clear his forest coming near...

and there are children starving far away from you
all your money will not help them, that´s the clou

no we can´t escape the system we live in
see we´re the slaves of our own and that´s the sin
"we are the slaves of our own" - that makes me grin...

and soon we´ll fly up to the stars and settle down (somewhere...)
and waste another brandnew planet call our own

and i bet we´ll do the same mistakes again
and when this time has come - you can sing this song again
my human friend...

(i´ll make it easy for you - i´ll give you a melody...)

listen...

(uuhhh... smooth darkness... PUT THE LIGHTS ON! ELECTRICITY...)

Yow! Into the jaws of dystopian doom...
I usually don't relate to electro-noise but this is electro-art. Not to mention the spiffy Photoshopping spree you went on -- work, buy, consumer, die. Conceptually and in sonically you've done a great barrage collage here. You've chopped us up in a kind of retro manner. (I get the "brave new" reference.) You're feeding us not to the Internet ether but into the jaws of mechanistic dystopia. Very Terminator. In this future, I'm seeing a robotic Liberace singing Sonny & Cher's "The Beat Goes On" to this groove as a cyberjacked Trent Reznor brain in a jar provides the sonic landscape. But your version is quite serviceable until that time!

THE PROZAC-MACHINE
This is cool prog rock ...as it came out of
dark side of the moon era heavy rockin sense
of protesting and deep meaningful song ..I can
hear some of the doors as well ...your vocal is
a real remarkable sound ...great lyrics as usual
the guitar and the wall of sound at the end is
a spot on ...trippy ...thnx alot for sharin !!!!

I like the NIN vibe
I like the first verse the way it is. I would recommend adding some fills. Also, I would go up an octave after the first verse. That would really add another dimension of emotion to the next verse. I would also raise the volume on the opening spoken words a tad. I couldnt understand it. (maybe lower the reverb a touch). I really like this song and wouldnt have spent so much time giving suggestions if I didnt so dont take it the wrong way. Great Tune!!

I think I agree with
Reggie Pole after a few more listenings. I think if any type of fill would be in there it would have to be feedback or pinch harmonic wails. But it is fine as it is. I still think the vox should go into a Roger Waters like wail as you get toward the end of the song, gradually building up the vocal intensity. From your other music, I know you have the pipes to do it. Great job.

Mammoth
piece of work. Classic Doc_Elvis monochord wall of sound. It doesn't need any fills or anything else to wreck the dark purity. The lyrics ... yes, sometimes I feel that way. There are oases in the desert, however. Twas always thus.
