Description
Same deal as the last song I posted - on vacation and wanted to record a temporary version of a song I wrote so I don't forget how it goes. Still not sure if I'll redo them though as I like the charm of the lo-fi-edness.
The lyrics are about an outlaw sitting down with a newspaper man for an interview.

Lyrics
they call me a killer
I guess I've always been
same as my daddy
and his daddy before him
I once killed a man in Mexico
just to watch his color leave
so if you're lookin for an outlaw, son
I guess I've always been one
they've called me a sinner
I guess I've always been
same as my mama
and her mama way back when
I sold my soul for riches
and I'm cold as stone inside
so if you're lookin for an outlaw, son
youre standing right beside one
one more thing to tell you
before you up and go
one more thing to tell you
that I think you should know
if you ever double-cross me
boy you'll wish that you had died
cuz youre dealin with a devil
you got nowhere to hide
I guess I've always been
same as my daddy
and his daddy before him
I once killed a man in Mexico
just to watch his color leave
so if you're lookin for an outlaw, son
I guess I've always been one
they've called me a sinner
I guess I've always been
same as my mama
and her mama way back when
I sold my soul for riches
and I'm cold as stone inside

before you up and go

I liked the guitar playing on this one, esp. the slide.
last stanza has the always cool combination of inevitability and surprise!
enjoyed.
