Lyrics
Paul and Silas in the prison cell chained up in the middle of the night
Praying and singing hymns to the One who makes everything alright.
The earth started shaking their chains fell to the ground
The prison doors flew open and all the prisoners gathered round

Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ (3x)
And you and you and you and you will be saved.

Frightened jailer in the prison house raised his sword up high
Certain the prisoners had run away he prepared himself to die
Then Paul shouted to him “we are all still here inside”
Jailer came to them fell to his knees “how can I be saved” he cried

Paul and Silas in the jailers house never did get to sleep that night
Telling his family about the only one who can make everything alright
Every hearts door flew open and they knew that it was true
Every single one put his trust in Jesus Christ and you can too!

Beautiful
Such a nice song and such a beautirul choir! But who are they? Is that your family? In any case I believe you must be a lucky man to have such great singers around.

Amen!
Very pleasing music arrangement, and you kids sound great! My problems seem tiny when I think of Paul and Silas in chains in that rank dungeon, singing praises instead of complaining.

Thanks!
I am a lucky man! The singers are my two daughters, Laura and Nicole, plus their friends Michelle and Anujin Dambaev. My wife Jody wrote the lyrics and the music consists of a GB loop for the percussion with me doing the various guitar tracks. Glad you all enjoyed it. Thanks for commenting.

Delightful Tom
The kids do a great job on the singing, and your wife did as well on the lyric. The nice simple production makes it an easy song for Sunday singers to do.

Very nice Tom, thanks for sharing,

Ed

I'm just an amateur who thankfully has a day job to pay the bills, but I do enjoy the sound and feel of the classical guitar. I also enjoy the original eclectic collection of music found on MacJams and the support and encouragement of jammers. Most... [see more]
