Description

I was asked by a friend who plays the Tenor Recorder to write a piece for her, and two of her musician colleagues. I came up with this Trio which will be performed some time in November in Stuttgart.

I didn't have any Recorder sound fonts available, so the mp3 uses the normal orchestral flute sample from East West Symphonic Orchestra.

I am constantly amazed by your compositions, and I like this one very much! I like the way you embrace the avant garde, something I rarely do any more, but I ought to… (note to self: write more avant-garde music). I also like the clarity of your textures… (note to self: ditto). And I am amazed by the sounds you get… (note to self: stop making notes to self). I actually bought the orchestral library from East-west, but never installed it… not sure I have enough memory, but I should go ahead and give it a try. Thanks for posting this fine work!

This is great
I would love to hear this live, but are too far away from Stuttgart.
Then song: This is crazy, almost at the edge of psychological breakdown, or upwards. You swing the tones all over the palette, and it works. Eric Satie comes to mind. The arrangement is a killer. The piano very impressive. The flute, well, if these are only sound fonts, I can't imagine what you'll do with the real thing. I can create my own pictures to this, but it would be interesting to hear if you had any specific scenario, feeling, stage, mood in mind when you wrote this? Applauds!!!
