Description
I was scheduled to record a different song than this one. That production fell apart at the last minute. I had to come up with something rather quickly. This is what I wrote. Krille once again takes things to another level with his "MONSTER TONE" guitar. I can never thank him enough.
We thank you for listening.

Lyrics
I Settled For A Monster
By Clay Potts
Spoken Intro:
You know...there are times
When you know you got it good, but you don't know how to leave it alone to keep it that way
You know...there are times
When you're smiling from the inside to the out, and you just want to shout how thankful you feel about it all
And you know...there are times
When the self-destruct button is calling out to you...press me...over here...cum and press me!
I settled for a monster
That I created on my own
There was too much time to squander
I didn't like to be alone
Steered straight into disaster
Just as fast as I could fly
Polly wanted cracker
Now this birdies gonna die
No regrets what's done is done
Silhouette against the sun
I settled for a monster
The monster issued beatings
Massive gashes that didn't show
Erotic innuendo swaddled me from head to toe
While our bodies rumbled festively
Climax blues kept up the pace
I did all that I could
To stay out of the bouillabaisse
My torso's tightly wrapped
Subconscious to the fact
I settled for a monster
Bridge:
Life was sailing right along
The love I knew lived in a song
Single life was good for me
I was a hostage to my greed
My friends said I should share my life
A good scare is worth more than good advice
But I took their advice
And now I'm scared shitless
What am I gonna do?
I can't ever seem to escape
I settled on this monster
I settled for a monster
I gave my hand and lost my arm
There's nothing quite as chilling
As a monster with such charm
Deserving is my credo
Self-serving is my crime
At least there's pizzazz
On this Alcatraz
To prey upon my mind
I know it's hard to figure
But I'll never pull the trigger
For this here is my monster
