Description

I was finally able to 'finish' this song after I got my new Mac. This is my first attempt at writing a song that throws in a couple measures of 5/4. I like the offbeat nature of it, but it fits naturally. The song has a funky bass line with some other elements thrown in for good measure. I debated long and hard about if the song needed more elements but I decided to keep it pretty bare bones. Like most of my other songs it's short (around the 2 min mark). I guess I just like getting a musical idea out quickly and end it quickly. I'm working on some longer stuff that should be surfacing soon. 	Frantic Wow what a frantic bassline! Like it. Is the main melody line meant to sound lo-fi? It sounded a bit cheesy to my ears, maybe roughen up the synth a bit with some distortion? Liked it overall though. Good work... Check out my latest song called Trailed in the Mud

	I know what you mean... ...about keeping it short. In music school, we used to take short pieces and work on what could be done to expand on them. They were useful exercises. But a piece is only as long as the artist chooses it to be, imo. I like where you take the bass line outside, towards the end. Check out my latest song called 'Cuz I Can

	simple is hard to do it is a conundrum. this is a beat of a different drum. it is a good choice to leave it sparse. the rhythm is of most interest. to add more layers would simply make it harder to follow. it is easy to make things hard. however, you made this easy. 0x0 Check out my latest song called Synthopolis 0x02 (VIDEO!)

you know
i'm a huuge fan, and this track is killing me. love that driving drum beat with the laid back rhodes. i could see this one played live, would sound amazing if you had some sort of prog rock bassist overplaying all over this one. excellent as is, was just imagining it live. if you ever go see Air live, sometimes they are just a loud rock attack under their little songs. love the dichotomy.
