Description:
I had stumbled across a little square in Berlin, with a Hungarian restaurant. Sat at the outside tables eating and playing music were a strange collection of people, including old women dressed in black, a tall thin waiter, 2 pigtailed blonde girls, an awkward teenage boy, and 2 nuns. A wrinkled old man was playing the violin. I sat in the square for an hour, mesmorized by this charming slice of central European life, and when back home I set about to capture the experience in a musical form.
