Description

This is the second in a set of five I'm trying to do, the first being Schrodinger's Cat. All variations on a theme, so to speak. This one has 14 tracks: 9 a variety of Albino and Zebra soft synths, and 5 percussion. Not really ambient, but once again I'm at a loss about how to categorise this tune.

Have a listen, it may grow on you like it did with me as I was making it!

Very sweet sounds here
and the percussive elements are some of them. Even if they do represent some kind of pulse in this piece, they also add to the general soundscape. The development in the piece is perhaps somewhat limited too as in "real" ambient and as would be expected of a song with Constant in its title. For all its 5.30 minutes it does not loose interest, though, because of all the stuff going on - it doesn't feel long. Very well done again, Dave.

So what's next: Heisenberg or Stigler or even Fermat... (Actually this is not my area of expertise, but Wikipedia is your friend ;-) Looking forward to it while listening to this one on repeat...

Originally, I was not going to have any percussion, but this piece, as I was working on it, seemed to be asking for some. So in it went!

Next up, btw, is Avagadro's Number, then Medel's Ratio and finally, Pavlov's Dogs. It was my son's suggestion [he's a scientist] to use a scientific theme. I thought it was a good idea.

I put this on while I was making supper and getting ready to go out..and nearly got so chilled out I nearly gave up any idea of doing anything and just sitting on the sofa and listening to this lovely piece of music.
I'll download it and listen to it when I'm in the right space for it...but it's a great piece of music and really enjoyed

	avogadro is missing perhaps this is music traveling in brownian motion as it walks the planck? it is repetitive, however it is unpredictable. patterns morph over time. it is not constant. music causes movement. it is good. 0x0 Check out my latest song called futatsu 0x01

Thanks for sharing. Tasty percussion, it just smolders along the way. Ditto for the synth layering, there is some development but doesn't rise to the level of ear candy.
I agree, a female vocal would humanize this and solve the "ear candy" deficiency. Something ala Ms. U from Star Trek comes to mind, maybe warming this up would bring out the hidden flavors...

Yes. You may be right. I sort of like the ambient[ish] nature of the track, so I wouldn't want TOO much vox, so to speak. Some understated loo loo lah lahs might do the trick. But as there are no ladies who have either made comments, or volunteered their services, I suppose I'll have to leave it as it is!
