Description
This was actually a song I wrote back in the mid 90's and I had a vision of a vocal trio sung in a round ...but I am no good at lyrics. Dave was very kind to volunteer and help me out with lyrics to this song. He has a wonderful knack to put words together and I am looking forward to working with him on other songs.

Dave plans to eventually do a version of this song with his singing lead and I would do guitar and back-up vocals which I look forward to posting that version as soon as he can get his equipment back in working order.

This version is with my vocals and my initial ideas for vocal melody and back-ups. Though I am looking forward to hearing Dave's version.

Lyrics
Down by the water, drowning in the glow.
Sunlight is fading, farther as we go.
Farther as we go.

Lifting us upward, the fleeting moments shine.
Crimson and quiet, in luminous decline.
Luminous decline.
Oh Red Sea - Comfort Me

Up on the hillside, shifting with the breeze.
Softer than sunlight, sifting through the trees.
sifting through the trees.

She followed me down, to this rocky beach.
I'm left with my head hung, willowed in defeat.
Willowed on my knees.

Oh Red Sea - Comfort Me
Twilight is bathing, the dogs begin to mourn.
Gather your dear ones, leave nothing on her shores.
Nothing on the shore.

A heaviness chokes me, my thoughts are spinning round
This emptiness unfills me, I'm lost where I was found
Lost where I was found.

Spiraling outward, releasing all it's might.
I still feel your heart, retreating with the light.
Leaving with the light.

Love these harmonies
Holley, this is wonderful. The 12 string sounds great with your vocal layers. David's lyrics go perfectly with the somewhat haunting melody.
