Dr. Who? Right, Desakota! An exploratory journey with just enough light to see your next step in front of you. And life quite often feels something like that. This has more energy than just indulging in passive doubt, there is definitely a good energy of seeking a more satisfying reality. The synth leads remind of slightly retro scify shows (like Dr Who) and carry the theme nicely. Not sure you're familiar with Juno Reactor, but check out the middle section (2:50) of 'Masters Of The Universe'. I prefer your more chilled version of the chord progression though. Interesting and very effective choice of organ/synth/arpeggio instruments - like it very much! Check out my latest song called f12

you're an influence - thanks I am greatly inspired by your tracks, I have to say, and really appreciate your feedback...you may hear some tangential references to Cumulus and Way out Somewhere (both real favourites), in the use of the repeating/arpeggio effects, etc. Not that I can even approach the unrivalled smoothness and balance of your soundscapes, but they give me something to keep striving for... you're welcome! glad you enjoyed it. I keep hitting some kind of wall by 3 minutes or so...can't seem to muster up the creativity (and time!) to introduce the new themes and layers needed to push these tracks out into 4-6 minute territory. Maybe its more like a poem, rather than an essay... Check out my latest song called Happy Machine

nice One thing I'm really glad to notice on this track is creative effects. The other thing is that the melody is a different type than the other songs. Doubt is a good name, because you wonder whether the melody is happy or sad. The synth solo is very asian btw. That, I suppose, is very understandable. ;) Anyway, this is great. Did your reason come with extra ReFills? I'm hearing some sounds I don't have. ps I will be uploading a song tonight, so look out. Check out my latest song called Momentous Occasion

thanks Matt I appreciate the appreciation! There are no sounds in there that cannot be created with the standard package...which sounds are you referring to? Looking forward to some new MKVX - I'll be watching for it! I've got another nearly ready to go as well (and remastering some older ones...I wish MJ allowed you to upgrade an existing track in some way...). Thanks again! very retro-cool The portamento synth line does hint at Dr. Who, and I love the half-step minor/major chord change, that was tasty! Dang, I have not noticed your music here until just now, looks like I have even more fun catching up to do! This is a nice thought-provoking piece. ttfn, Drakonis Check out my latest song called Lullaby for the Inner Child

i would say light trying to emerge from darkness and you seem to bring it out into the light by song's end with the organ. it feels like a journey and kept my interest you found some interesting notes here and used some whimsical sounds in your arrangement. it sounds cold and abstract and warms up nicely. i kind of visualize it as starting out in the stark blackness of space and ending up at the door of a large white cathedral set in a lush natural environment, but that's just what i visualized it's all abstract and subjective to "the theater of the mind"....the core beat and drive holds up nicely to the layers you added. nice job, desakota!!
