Description

two friends get together on a beautiful fall afternoon, set their gear up on the deck outside, enjoy a libation of their choice, and jamming ensues. Always get the urge to haul everything outside on a nice day and jam. Someday

I'm bummed its the end of summer. Thank you Z, for always willing to have a go.

Wow...
Disco lives! That's some jam session. Cool beat holding things together and some tasty piano and guitar riffs. Just a very skilled performance from you guys that is loaded with energy. You guys are IN CONTROL and it is so pleasant to just sit back and marvel at your skill. Bring on the lights, the warm summer/autumn evening, a dance floor, and your song just swings in perfection...Oh...fade it, fade it...too abrupt at the end...My ONLY nit. This is just so pleasant.

	endings alas, my blind spot. I always struggle with them. I think so many of my tracks fade that when one pops out and dies a natural end, I have a tendency to run with it. Loose 'n tight...
Both keys and guitar are great... I like how the drums work with the track, and the (keyboarded?) bass is really nicely done... Nice how both of you have light touches and that actually gives the track impact... One can really hear the tones of each instrument, and appreciate them...

Wow!
This is fantastic. Excellent solos John, and interludes, love how you change the mood towards the end. Sound of the piano is smooth but clear and your timing is outstanding. I'm a piano player, so I'll just say that the guitar sounds just as good and with that said it almost seems to me that the drums could be much more in the background. They have a bit of an 80's feel to them and almost take away from the piano - guitar conversation. Having said that, the musical ideas mixed in here are absolutely fun to listen to, with 2:13+ standing out as being just brilliant. Makes you wanna get up, go outside and enjoy the last few days of summer...

	Mix Terry, much appreciated. When mixing I have the luxury of playing almost all the parts via midi over and over making small adjustments on the fly, changing notes, velocity's etc, until I feel comfortable pressing record :-) its a big advantage in the process. yeah i'm bummed its the end of summer too. but this is a great tune. love those speedy keys, and the way that the guitar seems to slow down when the keys speed up, and vice verse, makes for a cool contrast and so things never get crowded. i like the guitar throughout - so smooth - but i really like the little guitar squeals at the end, very creative. also creative is the little synth/drums break around 1 min where everybody takes a breather and then the guitar cranks back in.

Whoa, this is a killer Jam John
You guys were having a lot of fun out there on the deck by the sound of this. Very cool mix of Jazz, Disco, *& Rock with Z just flailing that ax, almost as much as you were on the keys. Definitely like the end results.

I like it a lot, gonna put a copy on the iPod and go back to listen every once in a while. Excellent piece boys

If this is Jamming...
then I don't know what polished would sound like. It's only in the second listen that I can really start to hear the skill that is inherent in this piece - my first listen I was too blown away to bring my wits to really pay attention.

The interplay between the instruments is so natural sounding, and the solos seem effortless yet so evocative of the best studio jazz musicians.

Bravo, hang loose, and thanks for choosing to jam together and share the results.
