Great groove. Huge fan of organ, so that's a winner in my books right there. Love the stumbling break, very cool.

Classy!
Glad you thought my use of the organ was classy Mark! The glitches were intended to add atmosphere and broaden the track so I'm glad that you noticed them enough to comment on them!

On some toast please. The second movements angular melody caught my ear. I'm undecided on the critters. That synth line pushes the proceedings along. Great fun...

Adam
I can hear this being developed into a Yes-style grand production with Jon Anderson singing his heart out over the top of everything.
Very interesting post.

Ha!
You're welcome to sing your heart out over top if you like Neil! Mr. Anderson is probably occupied with other endeavors at the moment! Thanks for stopping by and listening/commenting Neil. I always enjoy it when you drop in.

great sound
i like the combination of organ with the reason sounds - creates great tension and you can hear all the parts very distinctly but they mesh well with each other.

excellent
i love your stuff and this is no exception. love the glitch elements and that low synth. what did you use for the glitch stuff? almost sounds like Gleetchlab (on of my faves). great track, going on the ipod for sure.

Glitch
The glitch sounds were all done in Reason. I bought a refill a while back called Flatpack 3 (http://www.lapjockey.com/pages/prodinfo/flatpack3.html). There is a combinator in that refill that has some glitch sounds that I used. I just used automation to change up the patterns. Glad you enjoyed this one and thought that it was iPod worthy!

synthetic king of instruments
the organ always astounds. it is versatile and powerful. to add synthesizer sounds only adds to the power. and to add your writing and playing makes this a delight. thank you for the performance. 0x0

Thanks for your kind comments! You would think that being a drummer would help me with my keyboard playing. I find that it's really hard to have one hand play a rhythm and the other hand play a different rhythm! I did cheat a little though and penciled a couple extra note! Sshhh, don't tell anybody.

Yeah, I wasn't sure about the ending but it seemed to work okay. Paul's Boutique is the Beastie Boy's right? I'll have to check that album out. Thanks for the listen and comment. If you like this song you should check out some of my older stuff! I think you might dig it.
