Lyrics
Late breakfast, check the news, soon it's half past eleven,
Kid's ready for the PM school
Wasn't that long ago, recall imtimate moments
Your parents did the same to you.
The time will come when those tiny arms that tug
Won't ask for you to hold or give a hug
Memories are heartbeats sounding through all the years
Echoes never fading of our smiles and tears
The word is not too strong for a song that will soon be gone
The day will sneak up subtly just as it did with me
Recall the last time your child sat on your knee
Like those sacred, pre-dawn feedings we cherished time alone
Our children grow and leave (behind) special times we've known
When your child comes to you with books that you can share
Or asks that you would help him say his prayer
When he comes to chat or would like to take a walk
Rethink if you wanna say "no time to talk".
You have to play your part, cultivate by heart
Remember what all parents learn so many times too late
Years go by too quickly and childhood doesn't wait
Take every opportunity, if one should slip away
Reach for it again and don’t wait for another day
They will sneak up subtly just as they did with me
Recall the last time you built the Christmas tree
Like those fleeting moments we cherished all the time
Our children grow and leave (behind) special times we've known
Searching all the byways and never should you refrain
Want to live your life, gotta drive the train
Promises you have to keep and miles you must travel
Lay grounds before nothing remains

It happens, quickly. Having Kitty in our band has been a blessing, but also hard to accept that she's a big person now :) The 7 year old too, she wants to learn sax to play with us as well.
Great song... obviously it inspires memories, thank you.
