I'm writing a sonatina (short sonata) and here is the 1st movement. This is hardly in any key but who cares?

Great work!
Hypnotic. I really like the variety you give to the first theme. Very modern sound, yet the form is familiar. I like that juxtaposition of elements!

Very ominous sounding
I like the chaotic feel of this piece, just enough control to keep it together. Very original sounding experimental piece. Enjoyed it. Cant wait to hear your final version. You have got some talent, with some work this song could be killer.

A modern
fugue like work. Just up your creative ally gisli. Angular and fresh sounding work. Excellent!
Cheers,
Charlie

Astounding
I'd like to know a little bit more about the composing process or inspiration behind this. I'm amazed at the amount of ideas and the overall flow of this piece and given that you seem to be quite young, can I guess that you're doing a contemporary classical piece for music school, or are you a remarkable exception from...well, the rule that says something about most younger folks doing anything but composing classical music! I've been impressed by your work before and I'd love to hear what ComposerClark would have to say about this! The change in mood around 1:40 is brilliant. Sounds like your recorded this live. Wow, small country, tons of talent!

Sonatina
Thanks for these kind words.
I must be the remarkable exception 'cause it's not a school project (I'm not in music school at all). I like composing, that's all:) Until now I've mostly been studying different periods in the music history on my own (especially baroque) but this is more of a experiment. It's not a live recording but I hope I can make one soon. And yes, my age is 21.

black and white keys
there are many black and white patterns. the black keys reach to the heavens. the white keys surround the black. they blanket and soften the dark structures that hold them in place.

there are many black and white patterns. the black mountains reach to the heavens. the white snow surrounds the black. they blanket and soften the dark structures that hold them in place.

it is a beautiful musical landscape. 0x0
