Description
Based on a letter written by a fictitious soldier in a historical war to his fictitious sweetheart.
This was recorded in about 5 hours. Due to some lazy and bad studio technique there are little noises here and there.

Lyrics
When I left your side/I closed my eyes/
(If I) let nothing else in/you would stay/(but) oh the things I've seen/on this campaign/(I've) brought lives to an end/and shed no tears/when I do return/to your arms/will my hands be cold/my heart black

i am surprised that no one has commented on this
haunting but comforting piece. very nice guitar work and
harmonies. don't forget that only YOU can hear the things
that but you most about a recording. ambient noise is in
and so are squeaky frets!
