Sure
live drums would make it "better". But this works as it stands. Enjoyable!

Excellent
I really dig this type of playing. The reverb on the guitar is great - and so is your playing. Keep up the great work.

very good Glen
tasty licks, well played.
your solo playing is really good.
the composition is a little boring, might be a result of the monotone drum beats.
in a complete tune there is a theme or something to identify it.
which software do you use? is it possible to overdub? if so, do it!! :o)

welcome to MJ

I agree the drum loop has to go
but in the meantime, why not try different loops and vary the beat so it sounds more natural and less repetitive. If you go bar by bar and do that, you can make a beat that is almost unrecognizable as a loop. Love the guitar tone and the playing is superb. Excellent job.

BTW
I am guessing you are an Eric Johnson fan!
Ren-Tin-10 said 57 days ago (September 27th, 2009)
Big EJ fan here, too!
A simple way to dress it up would be to add a second drum loop, preferably one with some kick drum, but not all the way through. Leave the guitars and bass alone, though. They're perfect.

Fav'd.

Cheers,
Jim

Drum loop..
Personally, I thought you picked a cool drum loop and you used it very well in improvising around it and that you mixed the whole in a very satisfying manner. ... You get a little busy about 1:30...having a little trouble keeping it all in my head...When you back off,it's much more satisfying. Cool song and nice production from my point of view.
Peace.
Paul
