Description
I wrote this song in 2006 at the tender age of 17. It has a special place in my heart...it was one of the first full songs that I wrote and it is the first that I felt truly proud of. It's rather long but new riffs and parts are introduced throughout so it shouldn't be too painful!

Cleanliness
I kind of agree with you on the drums. For this song I was going for a more of a "metal" style drum approach so I took the room mic down a little bit and kept the drumming a little bit more syncopated. Maybe I can "dirty" it up when I record it with real guitars :D

This winter
I'll be buying some recording gear and I'll lay down the guitar tracks for this song. This song was written primarily for guitar and it will have a much "heavier" sound with guitar. But for now I must wait...the university takes all my money :(

Cool
You gotta check out Reggie Pole stuff. Lots of great changes and tempos in this, crazy drum patterns, needs a bit of guitar i think.

Very nice
This has some really great potential. I love the energy and the way it progresses. I know what you mean about the university. That was a long time ago for me. When you look back on it (after graduating) you won't be sorry for the sacrifices you made. Keep up the good work.

Ecstasy
Great Job. Definite Progressive structure. Love the keyboards and drums. The drums are live I assume? If so great live recording on the drums.

The Drums
are actually EZDrummer! I wrote all the drums and used EZDrummer to process them. That program really makes the drums sound good IMO. Thanks for listening!

slick!
man, you've got some really great prog change-ups, classic-sounding riffs, great melodic and harmonic work. Bravo! I'm impressed by all the work that must have gone into this.

I'm a college student at UW-Whitewater. Ironically, I'm an English major and yet all my music is instrumental. I write everything on guitar and since I don't have any recording software MIDI plays everything for me. I write all the drums and throw in... [see more]
