Creepy "environment" you created here, Bill. The chimes are hauntingly entertaining. This would make a great backing track to a suspenseful part in a movie.

what happens when...
1-Drunk Taiko drummers wander into a Buddhist temple and practice on the giant bells.
2-The record exec misheard the name of the song as "Bang a Chime"
3-There is no three.

This is mesmerizing, I love how things build slowly (never rush these things!) and begin to fall into a compelling rhythm as you build tension, with little bits of harmony sneaking through the wild cacophonous abandon.

Isn't experimenting with new techniques fun?

Experimentation
Opens all sorts of doors.

One day I'll try it.

Interesting ideas and execution. As Drak said it sounds like a group of taiko drummers got into the temple.

Cheers

Or maybe
a templefull of monks going after a swarm of invading squirrels in the chime chamber..?

A real inspiration to get the idea to press the rec button. Kudos.

Thanks for sharing.

Eclectic, at best. I learned some music theory at school, and read a ton about it since. I've listened to lots of music over the years. I once played guitar in an actual garage band and actually got paid to play! Once. Although live performance is an... [see more]
