Description
I’ve been happy for far too long now (not), so I thought it was time for a bit of wallowing in the Blues. I’d more or less completed this with drum loops and was about to add bass, when I thought I’d give Scott (Scofugate) a call to see if he fancied adding some real drums and bass to my organ sound via midi (usual method of one track for left hand and the other for the right; can’t play both at once). Am I pleased that he agreed? Yes indeed: as it gave the song an added more natural emotional touch, as opposed to the rigid drum loops I’d originally used. I wasn’t really satisfied with my vocals, but with Scotts drum and bass added as well as the new mix he kindly made, it gave a whole new sound to it. Hope you like ‘the Blues’.

Lyrics
Time Has Come.
Intro. C/C7/ F/ Fm/C/E7//A7/G /G7
1.
C C7 F
Goin’ out at midnight, Comin’ home at dawn, it’s been goin’ on for far too long
Fm
A conclusion I have drawn.
C E7 A7
That the time has come when we should say goodbye.
F G C
I can’t take another moment of your lies lies.
2 C C7 F Fm
Sometimes I laugh, sometimes I cry, Sometimes I feel as though I’m
Gonna’ die,
F Fm
But you can never say, you can never say, that I did not try-y,
C E7 A7
To bring back all the love we used to know.
F G C (E7/ Am)
Now the time has come when one of us must go.
Middle
Am C7
I tried to understand you, but you’re playin’ a different game,
F Fm
Stayin’ out till the early hours, with excuses that were lame,
C E7 A7
I always let you think, that I was naïve,
F G7 C (G7)
‘Cause I tried to brush away, yes, I tried to brush away what I believed,
3 C C7
And now the time has come, when I just can’t go on,
F Fm
I’ve been through the mill, climbed up the hill, ‘cause I feel your love has gone,
C E7 A7
I’ve been round the block a time or two, but I just can’t find a way,
F G7 C
To make this work, so love can stay.
