Description
My good buddy Ed was gracious enough to volunteer his bass guitar a while back on this new version. I'm glad he did. Finally, I'm getting around to posting it. Also new on this version is some slide guitar to go with the original vocals, acoustic guitar, and harmonica.
Just a loosey, goosey folk song for the late night crowd still in the house...
Gosh, I wish I could meet all these people I've been privileged to collaborate with these past 5 plus years...

Lyrics
The Riverside
Have troubles got you so entwined
Tangled up and undermined?
Then make a line down to the riverside.
So-called friends may malign
The breaks of life are so unkind
Just slip your mind down to the riverside.
Life dishes out unfair heartache
Trying, you can't catch a break
There's give and take down at the riverside.
Some dream that life's a piece of cake
In denial till they wake
For goodness sake come down to the riverside.
Hey my friend Chauncey, he's no fool
He understands life is cruel
But he knows it's cool down by the riverside.
For him this is the golden rule
Others play the stubborn mule
Here's hoping you'll come down to the riverside.
Come unwind, it's not too late
Bear in mind, don't hesitate.
Come clean your slate down at the riverside.
Just grab a plate of peace of mind
Don't debate, if you're so inclined.
Sit and dine down at the riverside.
