Lyrics
You are the King of all creation.
You gave me life, you gave me breath, you touched my heart with your holy death.
Jesus, sweet Savior, when will you return?
The earth and it's hungry children cry to you ... saying "how long? how long 'til you show the truth?!"
Saying "How long, how long must we wait for you?!"
Those who suffer on the earth
May they be found in God's Son
When in defeat, you cry for mercy
Know that in Christ the victory's won
We see the death of Christ on the cross
The world sees only hate, the hopeless only loss
But we know where Christ did go
Through the pains of hell and tortured sin
To destroy the fear (i.e., the work) of death
To give this world new life and breath
Christ shall come and cast down the earth's mighty kings
Listen to the sound of the trumpet, with judgment it rings
Those who chose to tread down the poor
Christ shall come and they shall have their reward
May our eyes be open
To the dead and the broken
May our hands hold grace wide open
To this world a hope well-spoken
