Lyrics
what about me?

it's always what you want
it's you we have to please
listen up this is my memo to you
i'm changin the rules, you'll see

it's always been about you
well honey what about me
i can do it without you
i'm setting myself free

gonna get me freeeeeeeeee

i've had enough you're not the boss of me
i've had enough see you later
i've had enough you're not the boss of me
i've had enough of you

what about me /what about me/what about me/woah
what about me /what about me/what about me/woah

i've had enough.....
some ooo's

what about me/what about me/what about me
what about me/what about me/what about me

it's all about you
honey we're thru
it's all about you
honey we're thru

Cool and funky!
Blimey this is good.

Girl power eh?

Wonderful vocals and the backing is excellent - clear and effective.

Loved the "reggae" parts and a great sax break.

Cheers

I can always use some funk...
I love the combination of assertive, strong, and sultry. As always, you carve out a funky, sexy vocal (hard to imagine pulling off sexy while your telling your man it's over, but you do it). Backing tracks are expertly played and the arrangement is very pro. Mr. FMonk has serious skills. And so you do, Anne.

This about you:
I always go on about how smooth and flawless your vocals are, and I continue to be amazed, but I also marvel at your choice of songs. Every one is a new and completely different experience, and shows a new aspect and ability of your art. I don't know where you get this stuff, but your resources are rich. Recordings are pure and very professional. I cherish my Sisters collection, and I thank you for it. Peace. Terry

What
a fantastic voice. Love the funk and harmonies. This is such a professional mix and sound. Wow, I'm totally blown away. Love the tone on the guitar, classic funk tone and style. That voice is something special, genuine talent. Everyone is fabulous here.

about you
love that groove inducing guitar riff in the verse and the chunky rhythm in the bridge. but the little island rock break with the "your not the boss of me" vocals is what makes this tune. what a sweet break.

Sorry to be late....
THIS is a very clean and clear take on funk.... Really like the drums and the guitar work....

Over which Our Miss Sultry gets to do her thing... I'm always amazed at how you manage to do those harmonized lines and have them sound so alive, like there were two of you and you sang 'em on the spot off the top of your head....
