Lyrics
Oh, see.

The light in the forrest are coming from above them.
Rays of light swimming between the leafs.
The light in the forrest are coming from above them.
Shining on their field.

A group of people walk. Nobody talks.
This morning in the dew, and the rain that falls.
The sun is braking through, raindrops looks like pearls.

See the light.
Oh.

Oh, see the the sun.

The light in the forrest are coming from above them.
Rays of light swimming between the leafs.
The light in the forrest are coming from above them.
Shining on their field.

The are carrying their baskets, hoping to find food.
The gold of the forrest, yellow mushrooms.
Purple berries and pink trees, green grass and mellow fields.

See the light.
Oh.

Oh, see the the sun.

The kettle is boiling over the fire.
The smell of beauty, a smell to admire.
That golden, particular odor.
Of love, yes, that's the smell for sure.

See the light.
Feel the light.
Oh.

Oh, see the the sun.

You're one of the first...
...to comment on the art, which I personally have not pushed as far as I could, but yet feel is a very important part of creating and publishing a song (and of course you don't have to do the art yourself). THANK YOU! Thank you for noticing the interaction between art, poetry and music! So many times one or the other is getting lost, or simply not noticed/neglected (or, it's not valued as much).

beautiful
man love the backups, so perfect. your concepts are always great and the execution is always flawless. you make music that does what art is supposed to do, inspire and question and challenge and all that. the instrumentation in the chorus, half at odds and half not yet all working together is just brilliant. you ever sell a CD i'm first in line. as is i'll take it for free happily :)

Spicy
and warm. Great guitar tones on this one. Tell me they are yours and not samples. The backing vox are particularly light filled. Very lush and complex. Who does your girl vox? GB samples? haven't gotten he last update for Logic, maybe the libraries are getting better? Anyway, fun stuff Mikki, always impressed.

A paean to the sun...
Wow Mikky, this is very nice. Who is the female vocalist? The verses are hypnotic. The choruses strong.

Top-notch production on this too man. Bravo!

Be well friend!

Starts out dubby and then gets trippy
exactly what I'd expect from you Mikki - always taking it a step beyond. This fantastic - great guitar lines and of course that rub-a-dub bass is just perfect. There's a little Peter Gabriel hiding in there too. Very cool.

Innocent vs. Tolkien?!
From the first ska strums and the great mix they reside in, I knew you were going to be a new favorite artist. (What took me so long to discover you here? D'oh!) Great tune. I love that ska-ish break, can't get enough of it, and the way you mixed it in. I'm trying to let the lyrics color-in the plot for me. The omniscient narrator gives a mysterious tone to what could be an innocent hike through the forest to cook-up a rustic meal, but for me is taking on an almost Tolkien-like tone.
