Description
This tune is about the process of exploration and discovery. 123 iGetU... you know that moment of "Duh"... when you're trying to figure something out and finally, it hits you like a tune of wet bricks and you can't believe how dense you were and as well, how simple the equation was... But only in hindsight does this happen. Well this is my interpretation of that process and the head party ya have, afterwards. In fact, this moment of duh was about me getting me w/ what, and however it is that I tend to create rhythm. So if it tends to sound a bit self indulgent, well..., it's because there was no other way... Though, working on this has completely humbled me, while broadening my respect for you real musicians, the one's who've honed in on your craft, putting in the time learning music in the more traditional way. I be bowing to you now...

Thanks for listening! Hope you guys enjoy it! Dion

I'm lost...
when it comes to genre, Feter, but thanks for the suggestion! A nature piece... I love that everyone gets to have their own take own music - I hadn't thought about it beyond how it was playing around in my little trap and don't know if I have room there for it to do anything else. It was kind of an exhausting piece to work on, so I'll let go of whatever else it wants to be for someone! Thanks for sharing your thoughts about it! Dion

Sure wish I got it like you do...
Rhythm is just plain "too hard" for me... I'll never have that head-party, I'm afraid. So don't mind me standing here in awe, totally enjoying the way you have the chaos of beats and tunes waft in and out between chaotic "where do I go now?" and "ooh, this is WORKING!" Dion, you are just so enjoyably talented. This just tickles all my smile-napses. Ah, I needed that today! Thanks! I look forward to saying that in PERSON to you real soon now!

I can see
where you were coming from and going to with this with the slightly 'unkempt rhythm in the beginning as if literaly experimenting and then.... you got it and a great Jazz feel came on the scene..... nice to see you around again, cheers M

What no 4/4
The music boundaries do not exist for you, refreshing i think. Complex arrangement something that eludes me. Skillful and peaceful.

iLove it!
Seriously, you've got some great sounds going on here. Bright and energetic. Feels like you're dancing like crazy in the sunshine. A perfect pick-me-up for a cold Mississippi morning.

Smiling over here
Love the little glitchy "oops, wrong note, but I'll run with it and see what happens" moments Dion. Great sounds and your inimitably off-beat sense of rhythm - this is very, very cool.
Cheers from Oz!

Moments in this...
...remind me of modern african music particularly the percussion and that string sound you use. The talking drum at the end is way cool...if u ever do an african sounding song send it my way for some guitars ala kanda bongo man style, good stuff Macca!

Where That Moment of "Duh"
meets Duh Man of Duh Moment... Dion!

An interesting musical journey that begins in Doubt, passes through Uncertainty and then finally arrives at Realization. Welcome to Duhville!

Thanks for the ride, Dion. Please remind me to fasten my safety belt the next time. ;)

Late to the party....
...with the comments, anyway....

I love the opening moments with the kalimba sort of sound against the percussion and the very occasional bass notes... It sounds a curious combination of thoughtful and meditative, but with a sense of a light and airy energy...

Having heard this sort of percolating previously, I think you really took this somewhere really purposefully.... there's more to this than accident or whim....

I love the very airy, almost circular sound of the percussion in the headphones.... It really seems three dimensional to me.... And this is almost an exploration of how musical, how tonal, percussion can be, and also, how percussive or rhythmic the melodic elements can be.... You end up with something that's very melodic and very rhythmic and in which the occasional bits of dissonance just wake things up a bit....

I'm gratefully downloading this latest version.... It's a really great listen...

Oh yeah....AND....
I kept waiting for someone to sing those lyrics....

But what's interesting/weird is that those lyrics are pretty much in keeping with the developing lyrics and stuff for certain 'Uno's we could mention. Really

Lovely sort
of 70's jazzrock vibe bit like Gong or Brand X,
really impressive...and clean sounding all the instruments have a place ,very tidy .Downloaded and Faved.

Fine stuff, Dion...
...I love the artwork, too...matches very nicely.

This is like a trip tracing the outskirts of the Sahara. Yeah...when the magnitude hits you, it's, "Duh"...but the sheer size makes it so easy to miss...

Nothing self indulgent to my ear...but what do I know?

Enjoyed muy mucho, amigo...

Very cool how you
pull the song tighter and tighter as it goes along. Like a flower opening up in the sun, this piece opens up, exposing the beats and melody. Enjoyed it.
