Description
This is a piece I created this morning in response to my SIL Jessica's fight with cancer. It sounds to me like a Valkyrie song - it's all about being strong, powerful, and ready to fight. It's also beautiful, I think - something I hope will help keep positive energy going in her direction. Please listen and think about her on Thursday Oct 29th when she'll be having major surgery and your good thoughts will be very welcome. - Woot! It's October 31st and I want to let anyone reading this know that the surgery went well and Jessica is into the next stage now - getting ready for chemo... already making her some hats. :)

Lyrics
Victory

We are fighting for your life
(we are the fighters for life)
you can’t stop us, you can’t stop us
we are ready!

You can’t stop us, you can’t stop us
‘Cause we are ready!

Don’t come between us and
Our lifeforce
Don’t come between us and
The lifeforce

We are ready!
We are ready!
Ready for this fight!

We are in the right –
we have our rights
we are ready
ready as a life can be

For this life
you have to fight
but not alone, never alone
we are ready
for this fight

You must fight for this life
Don’t give up
Don’t give up the fight

Don’t give up
Don’t give up the fight

We are ready
We are ready
Right by your side
Right by your side
Or at your back
Or at your back

You can hear me say
Win
We’ll win

strength be with her, and her family
it is a long struggle (I know from parental experience), and I shall be sending waves of strength and healing her way. Nice fanfare-like work here, heralding many days of sunshine ahead.

Great piece
You voice just sounds stellar on this recording. You did it in a morning, I will try not to be too envious. Great job!

Really beautiful
Carla, this is gorgeous. I've always loved your voice, but you really took it to a new level with this piece.

Music is a great therapeutical tool. This sounds like you really put your heart into it. We are all better off for the experience. I'm sure this means a lot to Jessica.

Thanks so much!
I appreciate your comments so much - it's really cool 'cause Jessica was listening to the song on the way to the hospital on the day of the surgery on her iPod! :) That made me happy. :)

Thanks Len :)
Things have been up and down with Jessica in and out of the hospital (back in right now). Crossing our fingers that things look up for her again in the near future.
