Description
Happy Halloween! Thanks for the challenge which inspired me to finish this song and find it a home. It is based on a nightmare I had several years ago!

I suddenly woke up, in the early morn'
Feeling awful nervous, insides pulled and torn
Stared out of the window, next thing I knew
Surrounded by blackness, bewildered by the fumes.
Walking down an alley, I sensed danger in the air
But my feet kept walking (walking in my sleep...in my sleep...)
Straight ahead were bloodshot eyes
A big monster snarled, twice my size
As I turned to escape
It wrapped it's claws around me stared me straight in the face!
I don't make deals with darkness
And somehow I got free (somehow she got free)

Only one more corner, I was on my hands and knees
It started all over, and the beast was at my heels!
Until dawn we wrestled...THIS DID NOT SEEM REAL?!
Somehow I won
And it's neck cracked with a blow.
The beast whined...curled at my feet
And blood began to flow
Now it seemed all over, my entire body drained
But what happened next was TOTALLY INSANE!!
Peering out their window, Uncle Bob and Auntie Sue
Their dead dog at my feet! (AHHH) What would they all assume?!

Better than morning coffee, that woke me up and got my blood pumping! I like the almost tango-like music and the way you stop it for dramatic effect. Good job singing your way through the story, though you could probably lower the music volume a little, sometimes it swamped your story. Anyway, very glad to see you finally scored a victory against the evil upload-monster, and got this posted! Yay! We gotta get you off of dial-up! :-)
