Lyrics
Seven years back when I was so young
Made all my decisions with a secondhand gun
Been around seen a thing or two
And saved all the memories with every tattoo
Castles of sand don't stand too long
The tide rolls in and it's comin strong
Keeps rollin' on all through the night all right

I'm going way back
Waves crashing on me
Yeah way back
Wash the feelings away
I'm going way back
To the brighter days of love
I'm going way back
Don't forget my name
Yeah way back
Do I look the same
I'm going way back
To the time when I grew up

Seven years later and I'm not so young
Not so dumb I've learned to bite my tongue
Not really tired but I could use some rest
Thankful for the life - which I've been blessed
I don't know why you're so upset
Like water through my fingers- and music in my head

Way Back
Good old American rock'n roll. Love the flavor the acoustic provides. Strong lyrics on an easily relatable topic, and your voice delivers the message well. The only nit I have is that the picked electric guitar in the intro is out in front in the mix a little too much for me. But overall a great job

I like this- but I'm going to reserve my comments until I listen to Ver 2. But I like the way this one is as it is.
