Description
This is an experiment for me. My wife keeps telling me that she likes my songs that have a visual element to them. I thought I'd try a song for a future video project (nothing specific in mind). My intent (you know what they say about intentions) is to do two additional versions of this song:

1. Seagulls (this post) is the template for the song. No guitars. Unfortunately, no ending.

2. Seagulls-2 (more complete backing with a real ending and guitars to accent and counter the melodies).

3. Seagulls-3 (surround sound version).

I'd love some suggestions on story lines for this. The only thing I have to go with is the rather synthetic sounding seagulls.

Seagulls
A lot of different elements going on here. It sounds pretty synthetic- your word, but does not take away from the energy and your creativity. Kind of wishing for more organic sounds. It reminds me of long panning aerial shots that I have seen along the coasts of the Mediterranean.

A fusion
Of elements Steve, sometimes prog, sometimes stylish pop, and many other influences...All I can say is it's really heading in the right direction for me, and I look forward to the finished piece...

Successful experiment
More to come I see. Looking forward to it. Progressively cinematic. Wonderfully inventive. Uplifting, appropriate to a seagull cruising the air currents.

Good start
Still has a hint of jazz with some middle eastern and asian influences mixed in for good measure. Very interesting piece so far. Look forward to hearing what you put in there next.

Nicely done, you seem to have come under the strangest influence. This is a departure, and yet still in the pocket. I think I hear some "inside" tensions as well.
Visual and airy, nearly seamless: can you hear it all at once yet?
