This is the first experiment using the Augustus Loop plugin. Thanks to michael2 for the recommendation. I have been thinking about tape loop pieces I used to do years ago and was looking for software that would allow me to mimic those effects. This is a very modest example of what this software can do - I just scratched the surface since buying it yesterday.

All loops with some pencil editing and EQ adjustments. One mix down with a 4 second delay time and extended decay. Then that mix overlayed with a one second delay mixed slowly into the first track halfway through. Then ending with the first track predominant again.

Magnatone suggested this extended version of and one... as a sleeping aid. Listen at low volume for best effect. For a limited time (till Dec.10) here it is:

Hi Kevin.....
It is a very enjoyable and relaxing mix. A great start to your work with this plugin.

I think that it is too straight sounding to be something I'd put together, or at least without other R56-isms. I'll drop you a note with my other thoughts.....

This piece will be played by me many times in the coming days and weeks. It will help me relax somewhat.

I love how it sounds and how it slowly unrolls... Gratefully downloaded, and I might be back for that sleep version...

It's neat how looped instruments interact differently with each other in different moments, leading to subtle shifts in perceived timbre...

Are these loops that you plopped into the looper, or loops that you made with the looper?

The loops are from apple
I just staggered them and tweaked them a bit in a clean mix and then tried out a lot of different delay/decay/saturation settings till I got something I liked. Then some more tweaking with the loops. Editing out some notes and dynamics that were distracting in the looper. I then laid down a looper mix and fed that through yet another set of parameters. What you here is a mix of the two different results - crossing in and out at times.

	About loops interacting I used to create repeating pieces using synth sequencers that did not change at all - but found that I really enjoyed listening to them and noting how my perception was always changing - leading me to hear differences where none existed. I had a demo of Augustus in GB and used it on Dooms Retreat, but then it kept telling me the demo period was over so I had to make a similar effekt in GB, and succeeded, which made me feel I was starting to know my way around GB. Anyway, it was a fun effect to work with, so I am happy for you...
