Description

Bob let it slip that nobody has covered one of his tunes so i told him i'd be happy to do it. He said something about aging hayseed robot parts and then passed me a GB file with half of the tracks missing. This is a damn good song and I'm happy to have had the opportunity to frankenfry it. Plus, it's about not being able to deny your daughter, and i'm guilty of that on a daily basis.

Who'da thunk that some aging hayseed secret agent in Virginia had enough robot parts to handle one of my tunes? LOL!!!! Awesomeness!!

I was so excited that you actually wanted to cover a tune and that in itself means the world to me, but how in the world did you blow away the original? I'll tell you how - Your vocals are the A number 1. La La La La La.... Ba ba bah ba ba bah... You have the smoothness of a Holiday Inn lounge singer at a Sunday All-You-Can-Eat Buffet, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart! You have this Michael Stipe thing happening every so often, and this song is one of them (Michael Stipe rocks the Days Inn....).

I love the Tito Jackson treatment of that funkified bass line and the horn parts are so you (Fact: Tempie was the original 'Kool' from Kool and the Gang)

I'm supposed to say "I like the original better" because that's what cool people say when some rising star covers an obscure song that no one's ever heard before, but man, I'm just not that cool and plus, I think this is Craig's best song ever! It's his All Along The Watch Tower!

Imagine the joy of walking into your office building and in the distance you hear a familiar tune blasting down the hallway. SmokeyVW's killer MJ Robo Radio comes on every morning a few minutes before I arrive.

Today I heard my favorite Tempie toon! Will he ever top this one?
