We started recording what we thought was to become an album, almost a year ago. The recordings took place in a studio, and our ambitions were higher then our capability. After a weekend in the studio we had recorded som nice songs, but weren't overall satisfied with all the songs. We therefore decided to put that album on hold, and started the recording of an EP insted. This time we were recording it ourselves and not in a studio. This way we felt that the expression of our music came out in a much more energetic way. It seems like that was the right thing to do, because now the EP is ready and it got five songs that we are very happy with.
How did we record it?
We recorded using an 8-track hard disk recorder. Drums were recorded with a SM58 on the snare drum, a CHEAP! Behringer Condenser microphone on the High hat, A cheap samson Microphone for the Bass drum, and a rodeNT1a for the cymbals.
After the drums were recorded in our rehearsal room, Stig and Angelo took the recordings home and started working on the arrangement of the songs. They are becoming a great producer duo.

Angelo: Keys, electric guitar, backing vocals, mixing and mastering
Fredrik: Drums
Magnus: Vocals

love that little lead line in the verse and the soloing under the chorus, it's a great combination of loose and tight, reminds me of pavement one minute and matthew sweet the next. very cool. vocals are great too, you've got the perfect indie voice, little bit of weakerthans, little bit of clem snide. really nice song, perfectly put together.
