Description
Inspired by Steve Hillage's very old prog classic The Great Om Riff, I've tried to make a very basic riff move along with speed and variation, building to a climax.

How Zen Of You
Huh?

You play my kind of music man! You're such the rocker on the guitars and bass and you blend it so perfectly with killer synth sounds and riffage.

You accomplish what I strive for.

Thanks for the download Jnr!!

Good mix
of sounds here and a good rhythm and I admire your actual playing of the instruments here as well as synth.... which gives it a more 'natural' earthy sound than this type this type of music usually has, cheers M

Ta!
I like the mix of gritty guitar with synth - I'm a fan of Rammstein etc.

Cool. Record is fun to use. Hard not to have fun using it actually! I haven't got frustrated with it yet so that's a bonus!

Smokey
Great synth number here. So you are using Record? I did some minimal beta testing on it. It seems like a great product, but I'm too tied in to my plugins to move. This has the great Propellerhead sound though. I see you mastered in Logic. Why is that?
Nice going,
Stephen

Mastering
I did the mastering in Logic just because I'm happier using the EQ, compression etc in Logic and I like the way you can apply it all to a single track. I found the mixing desk a bit confusing in Record, so I thought I'd stick to what I know. I'm hoping to learn how to use the desk though, as it is supposed to be Record's best feature.

Love the squelchy phazed bass sound.
I was trying to fit a Steve Hillage delayed style guitar over this...but it just spoilt it.
Great pounding beat and breathless, relentless vibe
cool track
cheers

Thanks for having a listen! I had intended for it to be a bit more slow and contemplative, but the speed took over...

Mission accomplished
This has a great groove to it, and you're also building very competently, adding bit by bit. The combination guitar+electronics is one I'm quite fond of. It sounds wonderful here.

Hi Vic!
Thanks for stopping by. I agree with you (!!!), the guitar sound makes the electronics less harsh I think and gives it a bit of drive. Cheers.

this track is like something you feel when you've been piping crack. i listen whilst writing. distorted guitar break with drum backing is really crisp. and the next build where you've got more electronica and fill-ins is really intense. i wanted a big get-out at the end....really in your face. ...but that's just me. great song...downloading....great work...yay!
