Description
Sometimes smells evoke memories of past times. The place the smell reminded me of was Portsmouth England where i was unemployed living in a bedsit at the time whilst my then girlfriend was at Brighton University. The "Still and West" was a favourite pub when living down there way back in 1982.

Lyrics
Golden Virginia
When I open a quarter of Golden Virginia
The smell always takes me back
Rolling a Rizlla, thinking ‘bout my girlfriend
Sundays in bed sit land
Southsea to Brighton
On the slowest bus in England
Head sinks into the hands
Five o’clock Thursdays
Check the situations vacant
Tears sink into the sand
Oh it just seems like yesterday
Golden Virginia
Takes me away
A walk on the common
A face that is frozen
Drop into the “Still and West”
Roll another rizlla
Think about my girlfriend
Mondays in bed sit land
As soft as tar
In the noon day sun
I feel as soft as tar
In the noonday sun
