I can imagine this one... ...as a song, as in, a song with words... The lead lines have a very vocal phrasing, and it's easy to 'hear' it going in the direction of lyrics... The vocal bits sound good on my speakers, but sort of burst out of nowhere when I listen on headphones... They also seem to exist in a different sonic space than the space you've carefully crafted for the guitar... I was going to comment on the positioning of the guitar towards the right, but then the second part comes in and balances it in the left channel.... I like the drum slap that almost sounds at times like what Chris Smither does with his feet... Nice shuffling rhythm... Very well constructed, and of course as always it's very well played... There is infectious optimism in this piece I can't hear it and think of anything other than facing what comes with an open attitude. have a feeling of expectation and driving towards something we can't yet know.... beautiful finger work and melody with well placed vocals and the gradual introduction of the orchestra.... lovely work Bill with a taste of the festive season thrown in, regards M
