Description
This is the final "Medicine Show Track" for 2009. These tunes are crafted more for their sense of "playing together" than production. I always feel like there is a intimate wooden stage ..lit by kerosene lanterns. The series of Medicine Show tracks include "Black Coat John", "Going Down" and ""Feter's O Babe 2009 (3D Mix).
We are joined "on stage" this time by Vic Holman on lead guitar.
Some thanks:
Vic ..... for being one of the easiest guys to work with ... and having his "high tech" remedy.
Steve Stone .... for giving his time to help us get through.
Musicians:
Vic Holman .... Lead Guitar
Terry (Davisamerica2) ..... Lead Vocals and Lyrics
Roxylee .... Backing vocals
Andy (awigze) .... Recorder
Feter .... Mandoline and inspiration
Davisamerica ... Some other stuff

Lyrics
Grow Old With Me
(Terry Pearson/Lyrics)
We started out our life in a world that grows old
We understood the rules
We're warm then we're cold
And the things we start up
We know one day they'll end
Tho eternal stones will crumble
Can you really lose a friend?
Voices become faint
Faces are veiled
The arms don't hold as tight and trembling hands will fail
The story plays on
As we turn another page
But the story doesn't end
And the heart doesn't age
We can't do the things we did
When we were young and bold
Our strength is one day left behind
As new becomes old
The fires of our dreams become ashes in the haze
But loves doesn't die
And the heart doesn't age

very rustic sound to this song yet with modern trimmings and pro production. Enjoyed it. Nice touch with the ethereal sounding lead lines in it. Recorder and strummed mandolin add a nice depth to the sound. Good job guys (and roxy).
