Description
From Singer sonwriter Scott Miller,
I will always give God credit for the gift of my song writing. He must have been sitting next to me last Sunday when I received a request on face book from an old friend back home to write her a song. The message caption was titled "Tall Order". When I opened it up , the request was not what I was expecting. This friends niece was losing her 3 year old son to cancer and Hospice had already been called in, so I knew it would not be long. She did not know that my brother had also lost his son to cancer and that my other brother was diagnosed earlier this year, so this story hit me very hard. After the emotional roller coaster ended, I sat down and wrote the song. It was written in about 5 minutes. . I explained the situation to Robbie two days later ( RP MUSIC PRODUCTIONS). As I stated in my "About Me" column, Robbie is a great listener and while he liked the song, he put his "Simple is Better" to heart. As he explained his idea, I began to see his direction. This is the last conversation that a Mother will have with her dying son! His production of this song was nothing less than perfect for what I was trying to accomplish. The song was finished in a record two day's. I was able to deliver it to my friend the same week of her request. You can not know the feeling of knowing that you were able to maybe in some small way help this person grieve at such a tragic time. Shane, I did not have the pleasure of ever knowing you, and for that I am truly sad. Please know this, you were your mothers gift from God, and she loved you so much. Go in peace , with no more pain for your wings await you in the kingdom of our Lord.
