Um ...... .. what Char said ....... plus a couple of Russian vodka cheers thrown in for good measure ... (don't you look "hot" in your Cossack outfit) .... lots of twists and turns here ..... some darkness ... some light ...... sub zero temperatures .. but the vodka helps to keep one warm ! I like the subtle harmonies (vocal sounding + instrumental) after the 6:00 or so mark ...... nice! Check out my latest song called ASYLUM

Kamchatka, maybe? Maybe that was the Porta-you-mento? The percussion loop near the beginning was a bit in-your face, but otherwise this was fun and mysteriously meandering... I think you used up a whole chord of wood on this trans-Siberian trip. Actually, it didn't sound too Russian to me, instead, the chords and choice of instruments (especially near the end) had a very SmokeyVW sound, which, by the way, is a very good sound. For some reason, I could almost hear a female voice singing about "my ring" or something with this :-) ttfn, Drakonis Check out my latest song called Dulce's DADication - Instrumental

Siberian Railway With the percussion I can almost hear the sound of the train on the tracks. Definitely a Russian Feel to this song. It is a long tune, but so would a train ride. Your instrumentation is perfect for the flavor your capturing. :: Splendid :: Check out my latest song called Never Gonna Give You Up

Across the frozen landscape Do I hear 'Volga boat men' somewhere in here? The female backing singers remind me of cold, while the synth has warmth of the sun poking out here and there. Your rhythm keeps the whole thing chugging nicely along. The new melody at 4:50 is cute and really cements us in your chosen landscape. Nicely done! Be well, Doug Check out my latest song called Dad's March II (2010)

Icy clear Very nice production Bill. Another interesting tune with some cool changes. I'm getting a little too much high rattle in the flute in the passages around 2:40, but maybe that's a quirk of the sample. Very much a train ride - more "Cinematic Soundtrack" than "Ambient" to me, but whichever, it's very enjoyable indeed. The synth that starts at 4:20 is terrific. Can't wait for Boney M to get a version out :) Nice post Bill. N Check out my latest song called NO RELIEF IN SIGHT

Stolichnaya! That's the full extent of my Russian great piece Smokey - keeps moving as it steppes it's way along. I love the repeating chords that take over 1/3 in and then the variety of layers that work around them as you move along. Excellent construction and voicing. The change in the middle is cool as the chords switch to the bass when the synth moves in and then the rhythm doubles. Sweet. Check out my latest song called hi fi lo fi

Silky smooth ..really enjoyed this...really, I'm not being czarcastic. The tone of the synths is exquisite .. love the contrast when the piano comes in.. and that's rasputin it mildly ;o) I think it's "Cinematic soundtrack" worthy.. too much going on and pacey upbeats for "Ambient" imo. Check out my latest song called Summer time (and it's hot!) (T4S)

The title alone looks cool in the 'Fan' list! The many treatments in this one make it a contender for the James Bond Challenge. Great sounds, great flow, very interesting instrumentation. Check out my latest song called Forum Song

Long Journey is very well done and though it's a long Journey I think it should be a little shorter. But, what it has is plenty of variate and that keeps it interesting. Check out my latest song called Midnight Special

Interesting Some very cool synth parts almost and then there were three. The part I liked best was the slower center when the drums shut off. Enjoyed! Check out my latest song called Oh Why
