Description

After we go BMX racing Bob and I like to shoot the breeze at the local Red Lobster. It's there that we talked about our Mexican Girls and they joy they bring in to our lives. A while ago our very own cjdaley sent a track that Bob made in to "Mexican Girl". I wanted to pay homage to a good friend and a next wave rocker so this song seemed the obvious choice.

Production note: The bass ended up being a real disaster. I place 50% of the blame on the used Fender Jazz bass I have. The volume/tone knobs don't actually work. The other 97% of the blame goes to me for getting stupid on the EQ and really making it muddy. Sorry.

	Thanks, Bryn The bass is being played poorly to begin with. And it needs a setup. But beyond that, I think it's much swampier than I intended. I wanted a good rumble. intro is a killer addition. really really really like the Clash treatment of the verse too. your vocals are in top form dude. You sound even better than you do on our usual "lenny loggins sing along at the bob's big boy" friday nights. can't wait till we're 21 so we can hang someplace less lame. anyway you caused lavalamp to break the caps lock. 	muy bien, gringo. Whether you knew it or not, this song has been called "best song ever", so it was quite brave to have a go at it.
