trouble with tribal love
is that there's not enough of it! :-) Fun, I could feel the warm sticky sunlight filtering through the broad forest leaves... nice beat, fun vocal loops, and a really crisp relatively uncluttered mix.
ttfn,
Drakonis

Round Sound
The drumming ... is it a traditional rhythm? would like to have more background on the song... Always good to have Mr. Anderson about.

As with most of my work...
... There is ALWAYS room for incidentals and additions of ANY type. I like to think some songs are never really complete... they can always be open to so many inspirational nuances. The original beats were simply patterns i heard in my head... one basic, and the other a little more free-form, to fit the "nature" sounds.

Thanks for your words,
Alimar
Alimar said 879 days ago (December 24th, 2009)
I added...
... a sub-sonic bass note to the deep drums... so if you have a good sub woofer, you'll hear a pitched sound.

The Main Man
Vox are all Jon, all the time. He just improvised the whole thing. The exhilaration of an ocean swim must be the key. Thank,s Tobin... it is a rush.

Peace and Happiness,
Alimar

Olias flew in!
Today I opened my ears and Olias flew in. I happily settle in to my mosqito-netted sonic shrine. Lush and organic, this is a pleasure to behold, accomplished tribal leaders.

Very cool
I really like the beats and the vocal parts. I like how Jon's vocal comes on strong and meshes melodically with the structure. My only quibb is the sub sonic bass sounds under the beats in a few sections. Too thick to my ear for the other dynamics accompanying the beat, not to mention there's already a drum hitting pretty low tones, but that's just another opinion. Great track.

Hot Stuff
Sounds great . . . The vocals seem quite complex and well thought out and performed

While the vocals do take center stage, it seems that the backing tracks really inspired Jon with it's equally complex rhythms and timbres.

It was a joy to hear . . .
